The older kids would gather materials from a nearby abandoned house to use as surf boards. It was fun and I miss those days. Today at 5 p.m. (before it rained), I went indoor. Came out an hour later then took the photos below:

Rainin' in Saipan
It was a hot morning today. Towards the evening, it got cloudy and cloudy till rain dropped like water fall. Back in the mid 70's (when Saipan was less populated), kids in the neighborhood would come out and run butt-naked in the rain. Too bad I don't recall if I were one of those little dare-devils. Tee-hee!!

Reading what you wrote, I can imagine how fun it was back then as children playing in the rain. Life was simpler when we were children. :)
Steve: you're right. Life was easy back then. Also, there were no water parks so kids had to improvise. ; )
Saipan's beach weather is nice all year round but i really embrace the times when it is rainy and overcast. i love the rain cause its the perfect excuse for coffee! Miss ya!
Bev: Thanks for the comment. That's the sweet thing about living in the tropics. Rain or shine...all is great.
